Believe Sunflower

Hi today I have a card to share with you that I made following
the sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
It has been a while since I got to play along at TMS but hope
I can do it more often now.

Oh, how I love this stamp!  This stamp was one of the ones
I just love the way the stem spells the word believe.
I colored the stamp using my Prisma Pencils.
The papers are from as DCWV Fall stack that came out a few years ago.
I added a couple Gina Marie dies cuts out of green to coincide with
the sketch.

A couple fun cards for boys

Hi, hope everyone has great plans for the weekend.
Not much going on here, but we need the rest since we had
a very busy week last week with family here.

Today I have a couple quick cards to share with you.
I made them a few weeks ago as I had to make a little boy birthday card.
I'll explain later why I made 2.
Both cards were made using digital files from

It was so fun and easy to create this card using the
From the Sea collection and my Cricut Explore.
The entire card is made using elements from this collection, even the papers.
I imported all the pieces into my DesignSpace and arranged them the way I wanted.  The "water" paper I used to fill a rectangle then added the octopus
and the sea weed leaving part of the sea weed hanging over the edge.  I then did print then cut with my Explore.  The other pieces were all print then cut with the Explore.  I stamped the sentiment using a Rubbernecker stamp.
I made this card for a little boy that is like a grandson to us that wasturning 3.  When I showed it to my hubby he said I should have made him a
card having to do with a farm, since he lives on a place that has animals
and tractors and such.

So here is what I came up with, again using NitWits Collections.
They have horses and chickens so I had to incorporate them into the card.
For this card, I used the "Funny Farm" collection.
Again all the papers and patterns are from the Funny Farm collection.
The sentiment is also a Rubbernecker stamp.

I so love how these 2 cards came out and thanks to NitWits and my
Cricut Explore they were pretty easy to create.

I would love hear what you think of my 2 cards, we all know
sometimes making a boy card can be difficult these collections made
it easy.

Life in Color - Bugaboo

Hello, it's that time again.  A new BugaBoo Crafty Challenge starts today over at the CraftingCircle.

The BugaBoo Crafty Challenges runs from the 15th of each
month through the 14th of the next month.  It is a challenge to use
exclusively Bugaboo images, so head on over and color up a
Bugaboo to join in the fun.

So for this month I chose to use an image called

I created the background using Distress Oxide inks in the colors,
Wilted Violet, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio.  I colored the
image first using the same colors/inks but it was too blah so I went
over them with Sakura Gel pens so now they are all glittery.
I die cut the happy birthday flourish using a
Wild Rose Studio die.
That's it!  Hope you like my card and can join in over

Enjoy the Simple Things - Unity

Hi, I love working on kraft paper but many times forget about
using it.  The effects you can get coloring on it is fabulous so
today I have a card to share with you that I stamped using a
Unity stamps from last month's Kit of the Month and colored
it with PolyChromo pencils.

I love how large this flower stamp is, actually most of Unity Stamps
are large, which makes them easier to color.  I used white and a pale
yellow color on the flower, and then a couple different greens on the
leaves.  The sentiment is also
a Unity stamp from the same KOTM.
I distressed the edges of the kraft paper with my
Tim Holtz Distressing Tool.  I added a strip of loopy jute like
string I recently picked at Michaels.
All and all I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peak, I love to read
your comments.

Hugs & Happy Thoughts

It is that time again for a new challenge over at the
Here is my project I created using a Unity Stamp from
the "Remembering You Blooms" and background
I was able to combine both my 1st of the month DT projects into one,
love when that happens.

I stamped the flowers and heat embossed them in gold, then watercolored them
with a combination of Catherine Pooler Inks and my Zig Clean Color markers.
I backed the image using an oval die from Gina Marie dies.
I cut the tab/banner at the bottom using another Gina Marie die and stamped
it and heat embossed it in white.  I edged the pattern paper using a Fiskars
punch to give it a bit of interest.
And that's it!.  So head on over to the
Crafty Awesomeness Challenge and join in the fun.
Also, make sure you go and check out the great digital papers over
at A Bit More Time to Craft and join in the challenge there.
